I'm a wife, mother of two, business owner, and visual designer with 15+ years' experience working with graphics and interiors.
I grew up in England with a passion for art and design; it runs in my family. I was interested in interior design from around 8 years old, 'designing' (and redesigning) my own room; later helping to decorate the rest of our family home. I'd daydream about all the structural changes I'd make to rooms and buildings while waiting my turn during sports games. In secondary school (high school), art and woodworking were my favorite classes, and I went on to major in graphics and web design at college.
After moving to the United States in 2007, I switched gears and obtained a degree from the Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach, California. While working on interior design and graphic design projects respectively, I wanted to find a way to combine them, and so, The Printed Home was born.
I find beauty in simplicity and natural materials, most likely influenced by my childhood spent in the English countryside. I create simple and modern art prints and posters using a variety of mediums such as pencil, ink, and paint, and then I work with them digitally and prepare them for printing. Once printed, I style them in my own home for inspiration to others who may be unsure about how to hang or combine art pieces. I share decorating tips on my blog, and I love answering questions from followers and customers. Feel free to connect with me - I'd love to help!
