Paper has to be kept dry. The bath house in its old store is anything but.
A steam room, a deep stone bath, a cold tub and a room to lie down in, all under the timber roof where reams of paper waited for the press. Open every day from nine until nine.
The printers bought paper by the cartload and kept it here because the room stays at the same temperature all year. The steam room took the darkest corner, and the old loading door became the window of the rest room.
What is there
- Steam room for six, lined in grey Caen stone
- A deep bath, filled fresh for each booking
- A cold tub for after, kept at about twelve degrees
- The rest room, with linen loungers and a pot of herb tea

Booking a slot
Slots are an hour and a half and booked at the desk, up to the day before. Residents have priority; outside guests are welcome on weekdays. Robes and towels are in the changing room.
The Paper Store has no massage table and no treatment menu. The house tried both in its first year and decided the old store worked better as somewhere to be quiet. For massage, the desk knows two good therapists in town who come to the rooms.
- Open daily from 09:00 to 21:00
- Adults only after 18:00
- Swimwear on in the steam room
- Phones stay in the lockers
Play happens in a single room of this house, the loft over the old shop, and in no other place. The Printed Room takes no bets online, opens no player accounts and handles no payments through this website.
