Who publishes this site, what it learns about you while you read it, and what it never asks for.
Who is responsible
The Printed Home, 41 rue Haute, 14600 Honfleur, France, publishes this website and is the controller of any personal data connected with it, under the General Data Protection Regulation and the French Loi Informatique et Libertés (loi n° 78-17 of 6 January 1978). Questions go to [email protected] or to the desk on +33 2 31 89 47 10.
Reading the site
Reading these pages collects nothing that identifies you. Your browser keeps three short values in its local storage: theprintedhome.age, your answer to the age question; theprintedhome.bar, a mark that the storage bar was answered; and theprintedhome.consent, what that answer was. None of them is sent anywhere. There is no booking engine, no payment form and no account on our side.
Like every web server, the host records the address your request came from, the time, the page and the browser type. These logs sit on a server in the European Union, are kept for thirty days to deal with faults and attacks, and are then deleted.
The guest register
The guest register and its sign-in page store what you type in your own browser under theprintedhome.note. The house receives none of it and cannot read it. Clearing your browser data, or the delete button on the sign-in page, removes it.
When you write or telephone
An email or a call to the desk is kept as long as it takes to answer it and to look after your stay. Details of returning guests are kept for up to three years after the last stay unless you ask for them to be removed sooner. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before a booking, and the booking itself (GDPR article 6(1)(b)).
Measurement and advertising
None is installed. Every page starts with Google Consent Mode signals set to denied, so that if a measurement tag were ever added it could only run after you press Accept (GDPR article 6(1)(a)). The server logs rest on the house's legitimate interest in keeping the site working (article 6(1)(f)).
Who else sees it
The web host and the email provider handle data on the house's instructions and for no purpose of their own. Nothing is sold, rented or passed on for marketing, and nothing is transferred outside the European Union.
Your rights
You may ask to see what the house holds about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit or object to its use, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. If an answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris.
Children
This site is not written for children under fifteen, the age French law sets for consent to online services, and the gaming room upstairs is closed to everyone under 18.
Changes
Any revision to this notice also moves the review date printed below it, and no wording here is altered while that date stays put.

Play happens in a single room of this house, the loft over the old shop, and in no other place. The Printed Room takes no bets online, opens no player accounts and handles no payments through this website.
