The Attic Rooms
Sloping pine boards, gable windows, and the steepest stair in the house.
Part of this house is a gaming room, and in France nobody under 18 may play, emancipated or not. Tell us which side of that line you are on. Rooms, food and the harbour are written for everyone.
The gaming side of the house stays shut to you, here and at the door upstairs. Nothing else on this page needs an answer.

A house built in pieces over two centuries does not give you identical rooms.
There are four kinds, named after the part of the building they sit in. Each page below says how big the room is, which way it faces and how many stairs stand between it and the desk.
Sloping pine boards, gable windows, and the steepest stair in the house.
The tallest ceilings, facing Rue Haute and the morning light.
Over the yard, away from the street, one with level access.
In the shop wing, on the floor where type was set by hand.
The house has no lift. It was built before anyone in Honfleur had heard of one, and the stairwell is too narrow to fit one now. Staff carry bags up for you at any hour, so the stair matters more for knees than for luggage.
Courtyard room 3 is on the ground floor with a level path from the street door, a wide shower without a tray and grab rails by the bed and the basin. If a step is a problem, ask for that room by number.
Nothing is booked through this website. Write to the desk or ring it, say which kind of room you would like and for which nights, and the answer comes back from a person, usually within the day.
Play happens in a single room of this house, the loft over the old shop, and in no other place. The Printed Room takes no bets online, opens no player accounts and handles no payments through this website.
